Anna Barnes

Anna Barnes is a freelance letter carver and conservator. A Lettering Arts Trust Journeyman in 2024, Anna trained with John Neilson, letter carver and designer. With nearly 20 years’ experience preserving historic collections and buildings, Anna began letter carving during her time as an independent stone conservator. Short courses in letter carving, design and calligraphy and years of self-directed learning preceded her journeyman and she now works with clients to develop meaningful, one-of-a-kind commissions and memorial stones.
