Pip Hall

Pip carves commissions for inscriptions including memorials, garden features and house signs, as well as making pieces to exhibit and lettering designs for interiors. She also carries out public art projects, often working on site. Her main interest is in exploring the illustrative and decorative aspects of lettering, which has been the chief activity in her workshop for the past thirty years.

Recently Pip has developed the illustrative dimension of her practice, alongside her lettering commissions and producing lino printing for wallpaper, fabric and illustration. She runs short courses in letter carving and gives talks about her work.
